I was watching a thing about Shel Silverstein’s poetry and, um, this was published in the early 1980s. I knew the man was a genius, but I didn’t realize he was a seer as well.

Glass beaker containing a slightly frothy-looking off-white liquid that gives the impression of frothed milk as one would see in a fancy coffee drink. Not depicted is the slightly-coffee smell that enhances the perception. There is also a red stirring implement partly submerged in the liquid. The liquid is in fact a mostly complete leave-in conditioner formulation. It still needs preservatives and fragrance (it will smell even more like coffee when I’m done).

Eastbound approach to the Tacoma Narrows suspension bridge. The bridge disappears into heavy fog just after the first support structure and you can’t see the top half of that support.

Tonight we dine on the silly pasta!

Yo, #FoodSky show me your most obscure/unhinged recipe notes. I want to know I’ve got company in my particular weirdness. My note-taking has 2 settings: 1st is the entirety of the written recipe for my family’s cobbler, 2nd for contrast is my recipe development for Italian Cream Cake.

For what it’s worth this works with any non-citrus fruit, not just pineapple. Grid paper with 6 columns drawn, showing a list of ingredients, how those ingredients feature in each of 4 published recipes for Italian Cream Cake, as well as the recipe I developed from those other recipes.

Putting my money where my mouth is
Freshly baked cornbread in a nonstick/dark 9 by 12 pan that’s sitting on a stovetop. There’s a black pot on the back left burner that contains a bumpy red substance that is definitely not cranberry sauce. It’s currently napalm, and won’t be cranberry sauce for at least 20 minutes.
