I’ve heard the saying “Hippies are mean people trying to look nice, and punks are nice people trying to look mean.” And it is 100% true. Lots of childhood trauma in the punk scene and also lots and lots of empathy and love for each other the whole time. We look after each other and it’s beautiful.
