I finally understand why this series is so beloved by many, and why (Super) Megaforce felt like a mismanaged slopfest
Gokaiger manages to be one of the best anniversary projects I have ever witnessed. 35 years of Sentai history, with each series fully represented!

I’m honestly glad this ended at the point it did
Because now you have a perfect window of starting Blue Lock, stopping at EXACTLY chapter 92, read Nagi all the way through, then continue with the main manga
(That is if you haven’t already watched the anime lol)

At first this was somewhat convoluted to read while catching up with the main series, but after a while I started to understand what the draw was to this manga
It goes from pre-Blue Lock to the U-20 selection and covers everything from Nagi’s unique perspective.

That being said, Harukaze is my absolute favourite in this batch
It has that pure joyful sports vibe that I’ve missed in a series like Embers

The art can feel somewhat disjointed at times, but I’m really liking the characterisations going on here
I think if we take a couple more chapters to actually build up the team before a single match is played, then we might have a goldie on our hands
