There's a lot of moral grandstanding and hand wringing about gacha taking over gaming but honestly it's simply that gaming is an expensive hobby even in rich places. And it only gets worse in middle and low income countries.

It's not really a surprise that most gacha is made and consumed in Asia.

I don't think people are ready for the conversation that F2P games are a byproduct of income inequalities both within and between countries.
