When you look at the list of institutions they want to defund: libraries, museums, the Smithsonian, public schools, PBS, NPR, archives, you can clearly see that the real threat to an authoritarian regime is an informed and educated public

Gosh. If only there were an historical analogue we could study to learn about the horrors of rounding people up without due process and sending them to torture camps in other countries.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning letter to the personal-care brand Tom’s of Maine after finding a “black mold-like substance” and bacteria during an inspection of one of its manufacturing facilities.
