Two years ago, on October 7, 2023, the terrorist movement Hamas and some other groups cold-bloodedly murdered more than 1,200 people because they were Jews.
In the face of radical barbarism, there can be no “buts.”
Without at first this unconditional condemnation, everything else is meaningless.

Nineteen years ago, on October 7, 2006, Anna Politkovskaya was assassinated by Putin's hitmen.
She was the first to tell the truth about Russia's mass crimes in Chechnya, which foreshadowed those in Syria, Ukraine, Africa and elsewhere. They could have been prevented.
Almost no one listened to her.

No one in history has ever won a war they refused to fight.
Ukrainians know it.
Europeans should.

Je l'avais rencontrée à Kyiv en mai dernier - une des rencontres les plus essentielles pour moi.
Elle m'en avait parlé. Le livre d'Anastasia

We must stop de-escalating once and for all.
If we want to engage in “strategic signaling” toward russia (we must), NATO countries' actions must be massive, brutal, even disproportionate.
If we don't do it now, when will we?
We must not set any limits other than nuclear ones.
russia must be stopped.

It's a pleasure to be back in Bucharest, where I arrived a few hours ago for an all too short stay.
This is an opportunity to deliver this speech at a time when our decisions will shape Europe for the generations to come.
Either we win, or we sink into barbarism, with no turning back.

To talk about the prospect of a "just and lasting peace" is nothing but uttering empty and light words if there is no victory plan for Ukraine first.
September 4, 2025 at 10:44 AM
Saying that we will provide security guarantees that will be put in place once there is a ceasefire that will not happen has nothing to do with security guarantees. It's just a grim fairy tale.
We must stop playing with words. It is not decent.
Ukraine's security depends on russia's defeat.
Period.

Children, teenagers, mothers, elderly: these are just some of the civilian victims of the russian terrorist state in Kyiv on August 28, following tens of thousands of others.
Those who support russia are scum.
Our leaders' everlasting sin and guilt before history and humanity: not acting directly.

34 years ago, #Ukraine regained its independence.
It will win the war waged against it by a totalitarian criminal state that wants to take it away and destroy it.
Tomorrow, Ukraine will be the model nation of Europe, teaching it once again the indomitable strength of freedom.

What is the logic here?
I don't understand.
How can anyone believe that security guarantees will be credible in the future (which presupposes a bold resolution to intervene militarily) when, today, the Alliance states refuse to act against a russia that's less dangerous than it will be tomorrow?
August 19, 2025 at 9:11 PM
Rather than declaring:
“nothing should be decided about Ukraine without Ukraine; only Kyiv can decide to cede territory,”
Europeans should state:
“We cannot accept that Ukraine be deprived of some of its territory for the sake of international law and security.”
Much more committing — and binding.

I have often written since Trump's election that, in addition to his immorality, his lack of respect for international law and his contempt for victims of mass murders characterize his foreign policy.
Without them, it's doomed to increase collective insecurity.
This fragile guardrail has fallen.

Some say it's diplomacy...
How can you smile & shake hands with a man guilty of the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, the deportation of children, & endless torture?
Precisely, diplomacy has no place with a criminal against humanity.
By what it announces, It constitutes a strategic threat.

Democratic leaders & commentators really need to stop repeating this insane phrase, “We must bring Putin back to the negotiations table.”
There can be no negotiations whatsoever with Russia. Peace will only come through military victory.
No table, but a dark cell in The Hague for Russian criminals.

Never forget nor forgive!
16 years ago, on July 15, 2009, Natalia #Estemirova was murdered by Kadyrov's hitmen because she exposed the regime's crimes.
She had worked with Anna Politkovskaya and Stanislav Markelov also murdered by Putin regime, Kadyrov's master.
Western leaders turned a blind eye.

#Srebrenica30
30 years ago, Bosnian Serbs and Serbian militias committed the worst genocide in Europe since WWII—before the one committed by russia in Ukraine.
+ 8,000 Bosnian men and children were murdered.
As after Auschwitz, they said, “Never again.”
It's happening again, before our very eyes.

The US as it goes now.
Rubio congratulates a country that has murdered hundreds of thousands of civilians since 25 years, which is perpetrating on a daily basis massive war crimes, crimes against humanity and the crime of genocide.
A disgrace.
The bright future of the world depends on its defeat.

If the members of the North Atlantic Council were fully aware of their security interests, they would immediately take a decision: to make Ukraine the 33rd member of NATO.
Every day, and even more so today, it has shown it has by far the strongest army in Europe, the one best able to defend us all.
