I think reading documentation and error logs results in a much more rich and enjoyable coding experience than reading forum posts and LLM outputs.

Managed to visualize some neuron activity recorded from an HD-MEA (from an existing dataset). There's a chance all I'm visualizing is noise, but I'm not too sure: nicolasgatien.com/visualizing-...

Just successfully graphed EEG data with Python! It's very basic, but I haven't done anything like this before.

I'm working on an HTTP server in C.

How come I need to use strlen() and not sizeof() when specifying the content-length of an HTTP response?

I thought content-length used bytes...

Working with GPT4o mini and logit-biases.
I tried to ban "assist" and "today" in it's response to "Hello!"

So I got this as the output:
"Hello! How can I help you اليوم?"

From what I can tell, that's Arabic for "today".

Interesting...

Looks very clean -- what are you building?

I recently started asking questions on #stackoverflow (instead of Claude) and I've noticed each time I ask a question, I manage to come up with a solution myself minutes after asking it.

My list of projects I'd like to build grows so much faster than the speed at which I can build them.

Always have an array of options to pick from whenever I wrap one up :]

Cursor made me a faster developer. I stopped using it so I could become a better developer.

I published a small python library to facilitate making API calls to ChatGPT and Claude.

Saves me about 5 minutes when building prototypes.

Wrote a short piece on imposter syndrome, mainly, that the term is inflated, and is applied in places it shouldn't be.

One of my D&D players is playing a demonic paladin who was forced to take an oath, without knowing what it was.

So I made a cryptic demonic rune system, and I've slowly been dropping hints about how it actually works, so that the player can slowly decode their character's oath.
