Interestingly, the genesis of Scarborough's Reading Rope originates in a series of lectures to the parents of children with reading barriers. The rope still serves as a great framework for educating educators and supporting reading profiles to develop fluency.

I am impressed with how this report has been presented. It clearly highlights the critical role of spoken language in learning, wellbeing, and life chances. Now to roll our sleeves up and bring on the action. Making oracy a priority in every classroom.
