Seeing Universal’s Wicked: For Good yesterday amid the building of a huge Disney’s Zootopia activation outside of the cinema was like a peak competitor marketing comedy sketch especially as nearby a dog took a massive shit on the mall floor.

In 8th grade we read Judith Guest’s remarkable novel Ordinary People as a class then watched Robert Redford’s expertly directed film. It was the first time I saw how depression is not only a singular experience. It can be rooted in family itself. Thus began my fascination with adaptations. Watch it!

As a true independent cinema fan and advocate I think Robert Redford would approve of me saying go watch this little movie made with love in Richmond. What a life and legacy!

To people now finally watching The Pitt…welcome and do not binge! It needs to be dosed out like a true tv experience. And congrats to Daddy Noah for his well-deserved win! #emmys

Idk about you guys BUT racing through things I love or that celebrate things I love does not spark joy. Most of the people in our industry are…barely…hanging…on so seeing light on others helps. There shouldn’t be a fake incentive to ‘get through’ joy. TV IS FUN and…HARD WORK! #emmys

You know what I miss? CLIPS. This is a visual medium. Give us those clips now and when they die. Life is movement. A static face does not inspire. #emmys

Guys, Sal Saperstein is doing drugs in the bathroom. He’s okay (also Seth didn’t put his name in the teleprompter). #emmys

Why isn’t it all of that? Why is a show about a medium so bad on its own medium? The Tonys is great on TV and it is about live performance! UGh. #emmys
That #GilmoreGirls bit was sharp and fun fact-filled. More of that. #Emmys

The entire room stood up for the Adolescence teen actor. Watched it last night. It’s harrowing. Each episode done as oners (one shot) which is also the main story in The Studio episode that Rogen and Evan Goldberg one for directing. If you know, you know! #emmys

That people hardly know about?

Wonderfalls, Off The Map, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, High Fidelity
Everyone has a 1-2 season TV show they sorely miss and not enough people knew about that you are always praising the heavens about.

What's yours?

Idk man. I’ve read 110 books this year and the girlies seem to be out reading! Perhaps financial stress due to unemployment numbers rising plays a factor…
There has been a steady decline in reading for fun. From 2003 to 2023, the share of Americans who read for pleasure fell 40%, a sharp decline that is part of a continuing downward trend, according to a study published on Wednesday.
