On the opening day of #ICFC2025, Prof. Esther Dermott’s thought-provoking keynote on digital technologies and familial relationships explored the role of states, agencies and private companies in mediating the parent-child and school relationship. Off to an inspiring start!

It was a privilege to see young people engaging with concepts that are often thought to be beyond them and sharing their own ideas about sociodigital futures. I'm excited about the next step for this research!
2025 is looking like a big year for AI. Our Caring for Futures project team has been working with groups of young people to explore use of data & AI, questioning the futures this technology might bring about.
