My first article submitted to #MDPI was accepted. Overall I did not have a bad experience, and I found very similar to Scientific reports and #BMC journals. The peer review was good, and as always, #reviewer2 was constantly unsatisfied.

Dear genetic people, I love you but as an epigenetic enthusiast myself in addition to #gwas, I kindly remind you that QQplots and inflation factor in #EWAS are pointless and meaningless. So I would appreciate to stop asking for it. It s not useful.

I am pleased to say that our cross-ancestry #EWAS of physical activity is published in BMC #genomics. We aimed to evaluated associations between #DNAmethylation and hours of sedentary behaviour and moderate activity in European and South Asian pregnant women.

Epigenome-wide association study of objectively measured physical activity in peripheral blood leukocytes - BMC Genomics
Background Few studies have explored the association between DNA methylation and physical activity. The aim of this study was to evaluate the association of objectively measured hours of sedentary beh...

Since there are not many hashtags with #EWAS, I will mention an article that we published two years ago, which I think it is very neat (of course I am very biased). We performed EWAS of insulin resistance in pregnancy across Europeans and South Asians 🧬 & 🖥️ .
Cross-Ancestry DNA Methylation Marks of Insulin Resistance in Pregnancy: An Integrative Epigenome-Wide Association Study
Although there are some epigenome-wide association studies (EWAS) of insulin resistance, for most of them authors did not replicate their findings, and mos

Well, I have once again escaped form this pit called Twitter to this friendlier environment. I'll try to do the full migration now.

I am happy to show our newest article. We concluded that the DNA methylation marks associated with type 2 diabetes are associated with gestational diabetes. This study was done in a multi-ancestry sample (Europeans and South Asians) increasing the generalisability of the conclusions. 🧪🖥️ 🧬

I am happy to show that our work "Epigenome-wide association study of DNA methylation in maternal blood leukocytes with BMI in pregnancy and gestational weight gain” is published in the International journal of Obesity. We identified CpG sites or methylation sites associated with BMI in blood 🧬🔬 🧪

Randomized exposure to high school biology curriculum shows that moving curriculum beyond simple Mendelian treatments of genetics in ways that highlight the true patterns of human variation (e.g. Lewontin's famous results) & the multi-factorial basis of complex traits can reduce genetic essentialism

Finally I was able to join to BlueSky. I see the interface is similar to the defunct Twitter. However I see some differences, as the # seem not to work?, any tips how to use it effectively? thanks c:

I am glad to show that a pre-print that I co-authored is online. We evaluated if a methylation risk score based on type 2 diabetes methylation sites was associated with gestational diabetes (GDM). The constructed risk score is associated with GDM in both Europeans and South Asian pregnant women.
