I think the big reason everyone has actually come around to Robert Pattinsons Batman being in the DCU is because of how completely different he feels next to David Corenswets Superman. Them meeting would be so damn weird that it would actually be exciting.

But now I can perfectly picture what Shang-Chi is gonna look like next to Thor or the Fantastic Four next to The Guardians. Because now, all of these movies look and feel exactly the same.

No matter what Feige says, all these movies feel the same. The big appeal 10 years ago was the crossover element. It was so exciting we kind of just looked past these films technical faults but now that excitement has worn off and those faults that were always there are now far more glaring.

I really think (besides maybe taking at least 5 years off) the only way for them to come back is that everything after Secret Wars has to look and feel completely different than how they’ve ever made stuff. The color grading, editing, tone, story structure, camera work. Everything.
