I will forever be proud of the work I did with NARAL and all the wonderful people we brought together along the way. I promise to keep up that fight for you in the State Senate. 💜
Three years ago, Roe v. Wade fell. As a pro-choice organizer, I saw it coming—and got to work.

We organized across Illinois and passed the Reproductive Health Act to codify Roe.

Now we must expand access statewide, protect trans rights, and take on insurance companies.

Let’s talk about single-stair reform. ⬇️
Chicago needs more housing. But outdated building codes are driving up costs and delaying projects for years.

We need structural reform—and someone in the State Senate who will lead on pro-housing policy to increase our housing stock and rein in skyrocketing construction costs.

I’m running for State Senate because the people who got us into this mess are not going to get us out of it. Join our fight for a better future and be sure to like and share! 💙💛
Today, I’m announcing my campaign for Illinois State Senate in the 6th District. I’ve spent my career as an organizer, community leader, and policy analyst—working at the federal, state, and city levels. I’ve seen our government up close and I know we can do better.

To make our government more inclusive for everyone, we need to make structural reforms. So thankful for the conversation tonight with @chicagogrowthproj.bsky.social and the work we’re doing to build community across all parts of the city.

I have been at many protests over the years but I haven’t seen a crowd this large in a while. Donald Trump and Elon Musk are throwing the country (and the economy) into a tailspin and people aren’t having it.

Big fights ahead—let’s keep this fire within us going.

What does “community” mean to you? To me, it’s about fighting for your neighbors. Whether we’re talking about building more housing, better health care, or just having a good time in the neighborhood, I’m so glad to be building a better tomorrow with you all!

Dick Durbin has shown he has no spine, backing a funding bill supported by Donald Trump and the GOP. This isn’t leadership — it’s weakness.

We need bold Democrats who won’t fold under pressure. It’s time to replace leaders who refuse to fight for our values. thehill.com/homenews/sen...
These 10 Democrats voted to advance the GOP funding bill
Ten Senate Democrats helped Republicans advance a GOP-crafted stopgap spending bill, paving the way for it to pass ahead of the midnight deadline despite concerns from scores of their colleagues. T…

How would you reimagine the public transit system in Chicago? Thankful to everyone who joined the salon tonight on the future of transportation! Hope you can join us at another one soon. 🚊🚍🚲

In this moment, Democrats need to find a spine and get to work for the people they represent. The playbook of the past hasn’t worked for decades. It’s time to do something different—FIGHT.

Excellent piece from @meredithshiner.com: newrepublic.com/article/1909...
Primary Every Democrat
It’s exhausting to watch poll-tested, donor-beholden congressional Democrats continue to be too old, too cloistered, and too bumbling to do anything as the government burns.

Last night, we had an excellent salon about art and pushing for societal change.

The main question: “What is the role of artists?” Art is an incredible unifier that can bring people together, and even though we all process things differently, it’s a great starting point to relate to our neighbors.

I have hope for what’s to come in 2025 thanks to people like Karen and our friends who are fighting for a better tomorrow. I’m so lucky to celebrate the first salon of the year with this group and continue supporting our neighbors!

Forty years ago, the federal government ignored the AIDS crisis and we lost an entire generation of LGBTQ leaders.

On #WorldAIDSDay, Illinois needs fighters at the state level who will fully fund orgs on the frontlines, support inclusive sex ed in schools, and end this epidemic.

All year, I’ve been hosting “salons” for two reasons: 1) to celebrate all the wonderful people in my life and 2) to foster a community space where people can discuss and share ideas freely—all over dinner and drinks.
