In light of my words criticizing some on the left for their bad responses to this tragedy, it is very important to note that the response from the right is deplorable as per usual, as @atrupar.com proves here.
Cornyn highlights the people who didn't die in the Texas floods: "It's a very sad time, but it's also a time when 850+ campers were accounted for and recovered ... this was a 100 year flood event ... it's just a time of very many conflicting feelings."

Donald Trump's attack on Iran today was illegal and unjust. In a sane and just society, he would be impeached and removed from office for going to war without congressional approval. Unfortunately the GOP are a bunch of spineless fucks, so nothing will happen.

This is how a Senator gets shit done. Incredible persistence by Senator Van Hollen, and I'm beyond grateful to see that Kilmar Abrego Garcia is alive. Now let's get him home.
I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

My interpretation of the results of Senator Chris Van Hollen's visit to El Salvador is that the president of El Salvador in coordination with Trump are holding Kilmar Abrego Garcia hostage. We may have another hostage crisis on our hands, but this time the perpetrator is our own damn president.

b) Announce his intent to repeal the 22nd amendment (term limits)
c) Illegally declare Martial Law
d) Announce a plan to help the American people (most unlikely)
