Revisited Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl this week and, that is a FUN movie.
Tight script. Action-packed, but takes a moment when it needs to. Lots of rope swinging. Compelling romance. Sword fights. Jack Sparrow—I forgot he used to be really charming haha

Trying out the Remarkable 2 for distraction free writing. So far I love it. My eyes think they’re looking at paper. Anyone else try something similar?

It’s flawed in a very human way, but it’s worth the journey. It was such a breath of fresh air to see a big sci fi blockbuster that wasn’t from a franchise or a toy. Plus Greig Fraser has quickly become my new favorite cinematographer.

Recently I’ve started sending new drafts to myself as a PDF to markup on my iPad. Psychologically it separates me just enough from my work to really read it with fresh eyes, and it saves on paper. Win win.

I love how I write a new scene at 2am that I can’t believe I ever lived without…then I wake up and find the scene redundant and overindulgent.
But then seeds from that dumb scene end up scattering all throughout Act 2B.

Been reading comics since I was a kid. It’s been really nice to break away from Marvel and DC. Beautiful and concise storytelling in Saga.
