Building apps for #Tizen is the second most tedious thing in coding. The first is trying to then deploy said apps.

Is #Hyrox a cult? I get that endurance events are popular but to have 2.5k in a queue already for a "tickets released at noon" seems a bit much.

Can’t see #TotoWolff on #DTS without my brain adding @dirtyair.bsky.social’s “and maybe some ham” at the end of every soundbite

A reminder that {modelsummary}, {tinytable}, and {marginaleffects} are Canadian so if you're an American researcher, you'll have to increase your citations of those #rstats packages by 25%, err, next month.

Totally worth staying up* to see this on the website

*Only joking. Obviously I’m finishing on nights because lol training

I love it when my #Garmin suggests something silly like “54 hours recovery”. Dude, you track me literally every minute of every day (except for showering). You *know* that isn’t going to happen.

I wrote something about #bayesian stats - is there anyone from the #rstats community who can check my working please?

It’s finally happened: My wife has been home when I’ve received an #aliexpress delivery 🤦‍♂️

Now trying to explain why we “need” an Arduino controlled robot claw (in amongst all the other random gadgets that turned up)

Brilliant analysis and worth looking at

From a UK perspective our lack of efficiency ironically stems from being too lean on the things that matter - beds, diagnostics, not enough admin/managers.

We apparently have the money but not the tools to leverage it.
NEW: Is the NHS still good value for money?

Billions of pounds are being ploughed into Britain’s health service — with little noticeable improvement in health since 2019.

Critics say the NHS has become bloated and inefficient. Is it?

Subscription failed for #bestbikesplit due to Apple Pay ballsup, and now their #Stripe integration won’t let me pay. Meanwhile #mywindsock less than 1/3 of the price, and let’s me pay in one click. So I guess I use that now 🤷‍♂️

Christmas morning, and my wife is reminding the kids prior to opening presents what they asked Santa for a month ago (rather than the completely different things they asked for yesterday evening)

Listening to a “chilled Christmas” #spotify playlist which is all instrumental versions of carols. @timminchin.bsky.social wasn’t wrong with “some of the hymns that they sing have nice cords, but the lyrics are dodgy”

My wife just made my check that the dog - who is less than 3 months old - was asleep. Why? Because I apparently now have to wrap the dog’s Christmas presents (why?) and we can’t have her knowing in advance what she’s getting

For any residual Elon Musk fans who were inspired by him back in 2013, and have turned a blind eye because you like Tesla or SpaceX (including several YouTubers), examine his overt support for far right parties, now in at least 3 major economies. Trumpism, Reform (UK), AfD (Germany). Please wake up.
