The government's PR around this budget has been absolutely woeful. The media are whipping up the "they're coming for *your* money" angles among the middle-class without any riposte whatsoever. Explain things better you fools.
I don't think this was actually deliberately published as ragebait, but the entitlement contained within is remarkable and a classic example of the sort of sentiment governments sometimes just have to face down inews.co.uk/inews-lifest...?

That fact this man is still at the club as a "senior player" is a shocking indictment of those running the club currently. Bankrupt morals and an acceptance of terrible standards
Just saw the “highlights”. Duffy a disgrace for that goal. #ncfc

Listen fair play
In fairness, we don’t know how bad this is until Australia have had a chance to bat and are 342-2.

Great watching Scotland qualify last night. A lot of fun. Pleased for them. Also will be fun when they crash out in the group stages without a win again

Did well here I think. He failed at Rangers but that club is an absolute clown show. No one really knows how it'll turn out, but exciting if it does click
"Meeting with the owners and hearing some of their ambitions for the club, it really convinced me that this is the best move. They have big plans for the future but, of course, our job in the short term is to turn around the current situation and get everyone believing again."

Four year deal? That seems fucking stupid.

Maybe they should've kept negotiations with other candidates open? Or maybe that's the price of becoming a Sacking Club?

A lot of the UK seems to think that immigration and ethnic diversity in this country only started in the 1960s and was only confined to the big cities. This subsequently feeds a ludicrous narrative that things were better before it. It's a complete fabrication www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

A lot of exciting things happening regarding Scotland at the moment...but football is best when things are all or nothing. The way the qualifying works now, it isn't all of nothing. There's a gazillion chances and additional permutations available

As the Telegraph would be first to point out, somewhere they have always considered to be firmly part of Britain was literally a warzone in 1975
"What is certain, and felt instinctively by almost everybody, is that things cannot go on in their present way" – The Times, May 1975

“It is difficult to imagine a previous period when such an all-pervasive hopelessness was exhibited at all levels of British life” – Professor Stephen Haseler, 1975
