🧵

Do you ever finish a book or TV show and go back to the start to see how young the characters were? To see what they were like before we knew their story. To laugh at their choices because we know what’s coming?

That’s how I feel when I look at this picture.

In season 3, we’re going to find out Severance is based in Minnesota and these people just wanted a way to forget about their sports teams.

I’ve done therapy and it’s wonderful. It can cure the brain. But back roads with nobody around in a car with t-tops? That cures the soul.

I love this stupid redneck car.

If you’re not eating outside tonight then I’m not sure why you suffer through the winters in this state.

I don’t have the energy for green beer anymore so instead I quickly whipped up this shepherd’s pie and soda bread. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️

With the Vikings finding themselves in need of a QB, they should reach out to Atlanta. Michael Penix Jr. has looked great, making their aging QB, Kirk Cousins, redundant.

Cousins could fit well in the Vikings system. I’ve photoshopped how he would look on the team.

Once per year, this great nation comes together to forget about its differences. Not red states or blue states, rich or poor. Our fear of the opposition becomes pride in unification. We remember that we can share a pint together. It amazes me how impactful Three Seven Day is. Happy Three Seven Day!

McDonald’s has a strawberry and creme pie right now and they’re sensational. I could eat 37 of them.

It’s my birthday today and I like cars. So to celebrate, quote with a picture of your first car. Mine was a 5 speed, 1997 Z24 Cavalier.

The rest of the NFL doesn’t know it just yet, but we’ll all just entered the McCarthy era.

Your first breath made us hold ours
As the doctors took you away
We joined in on your first cry
The first time you laughed, we laughed even harder
And just like that— a year has gone by

A year ago today was the last time it was just us—just our curiosity and wonder, our schedules, our dreams. It was the last day we could sleep in until whenever, binge our shows all day, and leave the house without a second thought.

Been a while since I’ve been able to sneak away for a movie. Checking out A Complete Unknown because I’ve heard it’s good and I have a minor man crush on Timothée Chalamet.

Me, reading this, drinking my 4th cup of coffee of the day, thinking about work deadlines while taking care of a sick kid and wife at home, after not having gotten more than 5 hours of sleep in 11 months, and recently starting to go to the gym:

“FML. I HAVE ALS.”

Other fan bases trying to make Minnesota sports fans feel bad like anyone could hate us more than we already hate ourselves.

I’ve discussed how much I enjoy our neighborhood plenty on here—but this is one of my favorite things we do. We have a centenarian neighbor and every year since we’ve lived here, a bunch of us gather in her driveway to sing her happy birthday. 104 today and still cracking jokes.
