So the “stars” in Chinese astrology are not really stars, they’re just reference points for intersections on a special feng shui grid that rotates every year… okay. Chinese astrology in general is very feng shui focused. And what’s interesting about that is there’s always an answer.

Is there any thing that can really be called a “good deal” lately?

Just did the math and even though I make more money I’m effectively no better (slightly worse actually) than what I was making several years ago, due to inflation.

I just learned Savage Garden was Australian. I 100% thought they were American.

Also got a warning on my TikTok account for a comment that had absolutely nothing offensive in it… and the appeal was not accepted… meanwhile there’s probably thousands of accounts posting straight-up inflammatory stuff at the very same second

I tried to reply to an influencer who was being down themselves to make them feel better and they left me on read lol. So embarrassing. I don’t know maybe they managed to take what I said the wrong way… still embarrassing. What’s crazy is that he literally has influenced me, which…

It’s interesting to me the high frequency of Peanuts/Snoopy merchandise… so many brands just have random Snoopy items. I always found Peanuts achingly boring. Snoopy himself was kind of funny, but the human characters, yawn. I’m just interested who is sustaining interest to support the merchandise.

Went to Walgreens, wondering who the heck is coughing so hard. Oh it’s the cashier who is going to touch all my purchases.

I keep hearing people say most of the Obamacare / ACA plans are catastrophic plans.. but the last few years my Obamacare plans were either low or no-deductible and low co-pay. They were excellent, maybe better than my work insurance.

Something crazy about me is due to anxiety I will sometimes not open packages for months… so I got this coat on sale from Saks at the end of last winter and just now opened the box… it’s like obviously worn and had a damn CVS receipt in the pocket from New York. I’m disgusted. But a lesson learned.

I am watching Prince of Persia and the first thing I noticed is everyone is wearing pants. They look rather modern to me. Actually their whole wardrobe just looks wrong for… well what time was this supposed to be? Around 400-500 BC, the Achaemenid Empire… and what did they wear? Skirts.

Not even two minutes in to Fantastic 4 and they’re showing a pregnancy test and talking about “we tried for two years” and kissing…… like wtf is this

These Black Friday “deals” piss me off. Wish I had took note of some of the prices a week ago because I am sure some of these prices went UP.

And then there’s the premium brands that are giving us 30% off*

*on select items. No exchanges or returns.

Like… never mind

Only half of Republicans acknowledge vaccines protect community health…pretty scary. What is the answer? Do people not know about the history of the diseases we vaccinate for?
69% of U.S. adults say childhood vaccines help prevent serious illness among vaccinated children a great deal or quite a bit; 65% say the same about vaccines protecting everybody in the local community.

I’m convinced that somehow stretchy clothes are actually more uncomfortable that regular fabric… yes they should be more comfortable because of the stretch but I think paradoxically a lot of the time it becomes more confining because it is constantly squeezing you.

There’s too many professional looking Halloween costumes on my feed this year…. People look like they spent a day in hair and makeup with a team of people… it doesn’t seem fun doing that much

I swear Amazon just sneakily shipped all my subscriptions today without warning me 😭. I didn’t need any of these items because I still have the ones from last time…. Usually it will warn me so I can go in and say skip it but unfortunately that did not happen…

Does anyone else randomly remember they have the option of listening to music?

Planning a trip has made me remember (what I should know well) how much of a SKILL travel planning is.

I hesitated on making some purchases and what do you know the prices DOUBLED. I found out there is a TECH CONFERENCE during my trip so all the hotels suddenly evaporated.

Paul Smith has lost the plot. They’re up to $725 for their signature sweater. Who wants to take bets on how long before they get to $1000. I’m going to bet before the end of 2026. Keep in mind it’s a COTTON sweater. Yes very nice, but still. Yes I’m a shopaholic and want this damn sweater.

Apartments in the suburbs piss me off but not because they ruin the suburban vibes. They piss me off because they’re apartments, in the suburbs, and they still be costing as much as a damn house. The condos have crazy fees, and half the time they don’t even give you a proper parking place.
