This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

Bluesky keeps telling me that I have many (just now 17) notifications. When I go into it there are none. I also get followers from (clearly) fake American men - and women 😕 and people I would have absolutely no connection with. Not very happy with this so far.

Dog walk today. The plain of Eresos and the site of the ancient acropolis, Vigla, over which a Byzantine castle was built in the 14th century. The remains are still visible- but some bits crumble when there’s an earthquake

We made another trip to the thermal baths on Wednesday. Lovely on chilly, rainy days- quite a journey across the island though. I’m just fascinated by the way the hot, steaming water flows out from underground into the scrubby, unremarkable landscape

I made chilli sauce from our chillis. Wasn’t quite sure of the yield. Last year we had more but it was more watery. Delicious though🥵
