Letztlich laufen Eure Vorschläge darauf hinaus, viel mehr Geld auszugeben. Nur woher soll dieses Geld kommen? Die bestehenden SVs werden schon für Verteidigung+Infrastruktur gebraucht; weitere wird der Kapitalmarkt kaum hergeben. Noch höhere Besteuerung? Schwierig. Isch over.

Precisely my point. It’s interesting (as well as ironic and discouraging) how some who follow the science on climate—and are infuriated by others who don’t—are not always interested in following the science on public opinion, effective messaging & framing, and how to catalyze change.

As I recall, Tim Gill's posts about academia are *all* on the joking-to-trolling spectrum. But the ones that work, work because they're so indistinguishable or very very nearly indistinguishable from things people in academia actually say or think.
