Brilliant take on A House of Dynamite that’s fair to the movie and fair to the subject matter. www.armscontrolwonk.com/archive/1221...

More fun with vibe coding. A ridiculously long, multi-file response for what should have been a five-line change in code. It’s hard to believe it’s not doing this in purpose. But on the other hand I could see it trying to be overly helpful. I still have a better context window.

I regret to inform you that multi-billion-dollar AI tools can still be pretty dumb.

Claude still can’t get the current year correct, but at least it sees the humor in it.

Brilliant.
I saw a tragically AI-generated version of this poster, so I have recreated a 100% human-made version for all your protest sign needs.

Really kinda interesting to see Apple use the registration mark in its headline for the F1 deal. Damned near unprecedented, if not the first time.

OK, this is pretty cool. And I just uploaded a brand standards PDF to Claude to create a Claude Skill to reference later. Took it a few tries to get the SKILLS.md file right, though. O_o www.anthropic.com/news/skills

Is there a German word for the smell in your Florida gym after the air-conditioning was off all night? Bonus if there’s a word for the level of stickiness.

Vibe-coding is not a crime
Everybody needs a hobby. In the summer of 2025 I decided I’d finally dip my toes into all this “AI” stuff.

Hunh. … I haven’t completely forgotten how to shoot five interviews in one sitting and repurpose it 30 different ways on a 72-hour deadline. … Good to know. healthcarewithinreach.org/the-stories-...

Tim Cook (and Apple) have the opportunity to do the funniest thing on Tuesday. He can’t, and he won’t. But it was be a Sorkinian level of drama if it happened.

More fun with vibe coding. Took the precipitation scraper from my email weatherbot project and am using it to trigger skips for my sprinkler system instead of the built-in setting, which was turning my grass brown while also trying to upsell me.

That awkward moment when the AI with billions of dollars behind it tells you to delete the file that it literally just had you add something to.
