I was sick for over a week and isolated w/ my lady at her place. The cat hasn’t left me alone since I got back: 2.5 hour unbroken nap on me in progress. We’re all having a wild xmas eve, hope you all are, too

In 2010, there was genuine shock that Qatar's bid was awarded the 2022 WC. The bidding for each tournament was highly competitive. 14 years on, there is just numbness to FIFA's processes, the jarring hypocrisy, the damning reports, the human rights orgs criticism. All that now institutionalised.

Finally found last year’s stumbled upon lime pie recipe. It wasn’t particularly special, but my house loved it so I’m sticking with it. Every time it takes me eons longer to re-find a thing than it did to do the basic initial search, I question my skills as a librarian…

Very annoyed every time military aircraft fly overhead only to rush to flightaware and see they have transponders off so I can’t look up further info. And yes I’ve been leaning into full-dork planespotting hobbyist lately, thank you
