CBS hired a gender critical transphobe to lead their editorial. NBC just fired their entire LGBTQ vertical. Mainstream media news is making the conscious choice to pivot away from truth and towards political favor. This is a symptom of fascism, not a matter of circumstance.

Nothing, *nothing*, justifies killing him, or robbing his kids of their dad.
We don’t know the identity or motive of the shooter but murder can *never* be the response to political disagreements.

#CharlieKirk spent his career advocating for the exact opposite of everything I stand for. That does not matter. If you support an assassination, how do you have the moral grounds to talk about the death penalty, gun control, political violence, or any other evil we spend careers fighting against.

There is a genocide in #Gaza, liberation for Palestine NOW. America is so obsessed with guns that children are dying during math class, #guncontrol NOW. Political violence has made an assassination a supportable response to disagreement, THAT is disgusting and terrifying. All these things are true.

I’m not gonna cheer on an assassination. #CharlieKirk was just about as horrible as a person can be. That doesn’t justify his murder. If you are applauding gun violence today you lose the ground to talk about prevention tomorrow.
