That's really weird! No clue what else could be going on!

It's a little on the long side, did your AVD suffer as a result? That could impact recommendations.

They're working on that too with the healthcare "reform"

Ah, yes, "I HAVE MOUTH AND ICE CREAM", one of my favorites.

This dumpster fire isn't going away any time soon. Enjoy your night off!

It's all true from a certain point of view. Just, not the people's.

You know what, he's right. A 50 year mortgage, paying $1m in interest, never actually owning your home before you die, is a GREAT idea...for the banks that benefit from it!

And $2,000 one time checks to make people accept a permanent loss of benefits? Genius to the one issuing the checks...

If my $3.30/gal fillup the other day was a con job, why doesn't my bank listen when I tell them that the gas station is defrauding me by charging too much for gas? Trump said it should be $2/gal, I should get a 40% refund! /s

It'll more likely be because we literally can't afford anything else with the insurance companies knowing we can't go without, but same end result I suppose. And good luck to anyone with a preexisting condition during their renewal "negotiations"...

Well, then maybe he shouldn't have announced it SEVEN YEARS AGO then...

Looks like they're being cancelled

I need to order a new Pebble watch myself...

It could be a better value if it was mass produced. Economies of scale and all that.

I use the basic store brand powdered detergent. We have very hard water, we have to use a little more than the "standard" recommended amount, but it works perfectly fine. We'll never buy pods again as long as we can keep buying powder.
November 4, 2025 at 9:37 PM
Thus, they will to to a different brand that has bigger pods, rather than figure out the correct amount for their circumstances. This is why manufacturers oversize their pods, it leads to higher customer satisfaction (and higher margins from increased volume of sales, efficiency be damned)
November 4, 2025 at 9:37 PM
If they shrunk the size and instructed people to use two if they had hard water, a bad dishwasher, or really dirty dishes, people would still just use one and then get mad when they don't work.
November 4, 2025 at 9:37 PM
I think you're misunderstanding. The pods are designed for a worst case scenario, meaning they have more detergent than is necessary for most people. This is what Alec is complaining about in his video and post - you can't properly dose pods if you're not dealing with a worst case scenario.
November 4, 2025 at 9:37 PM
Although I do know my grandparents put a pod both in the detergent dispense and literally throw one in the basin as well. They insist it's the only way their dishes come clean without prewashing by hand, but they also refuse to watch the Angry Dishwasher Man tell them how it really works.
November 4, 2025 at 9:32 PM
I should clarify. The "throwing" of the detergent pod into the dishwasher was meant as a metaphorical description, not literal. As in, they don't think, they just grab one and put it in the detergent dispenser without a care in the world.

Also, I just want to say I adore that Victrola flip clock and am sad I can't find it for sale anywhere right now.
November 4, 2025 at 9:17 PM
On the one hand, I get where you're coming from.

On the other hand, I know plenty of people who *will not* read packaging and just throw one pod into the dishwasher regardless of their water hardness, then blame the manufacturer when their soap doesn't clean their dishes...

Keeping the DLZ as a summing/mixing unit and a control surface. I don't regret buying it, as it fulfilled its role well, but as I got into using better mics, its shortcomings became more and more apparent. I would buy it again given my prior requirements, but maybe I would have added the SSL sooner.
