One of the best things I've ever posted: Mark Ravenhiil's 101 notes on playwriting. It was originally published as a series of tweets. This version's even better because Ravenhill has annotated it a bit.

fascism has appropriated all aspects of tech as its own, when tech very much does not belong to fascists nor is it a result of them. it was taken from the original idealists who believed things like the internet belonged to everyone. tech is communal. it is democratic. as all innovation should be.

Yep they knew. Heinous fucks. Please listen to my interview on @onwithkaraswisher.bsky.social with the mother of the 14 year old boy who did just this after being obviously and repeatedly manipulated by a chatbot (link below)
NEW: Months before Google was accused in a lawsuit of facilitating the suicide of a teen user of the Google-tied chatbot startup CharacterAI, researchers at Google DeepMind warned in a paper that chatbots could target minors and manipulate vulnerable users into suicide.

Caught the @nationaltheatre.org.uk’s Live of The Importance of Being Earnest tonight at @broadwaycinema.bsky.social. It was incredible. Ridiculous. Camp. Masterful in ensemble comedy. Haven’t laughed that much at theatre in years. Do catch it in cinemas, it’s definitely worth it.

#1 Democracy May Not Exist But We'll Miss it When It's Gone – @astra.bsky.social

Faith in democracy is in shambles, but as this book reminds us, democracy is not static—it’s dynamic, and most importantly, it’s an active site of struggle. Your intellectual armor for organizing!
