I had this same thought, but unfortunately swimmers would be vulnerable to the concussive wave for a significant distance from the blast, and anyone underwater would be particularly affected.

It really is. Not particularly glamorous, but it’s got everything you’d need plus a great music scene. There’s a strong outdoor culture of making the best of winter and enjoying the shit out of our summer. Great options nearby if you enjoy camping or canoeing too.
