I was like "they're the ornithologist, right?" Cause I couldn't remember and lo and behold, what I thought were pigtails in your pfp are in fact little birds.

I mean, there are genuinely useful applications of ML/AI in science and medical areas. Not defending LLMs (though I do think they have certain use cases that are worthwhile, though not nearly to the degree that they are hyped).

In fairness, there's a lot more "there" there in regards to genAI (and I don't necessarily think there's good reason to draw a hard line between genAI and other ML). NFTs crashed as fast as they did because they didn't actually do anything useful.

I'm not saying they necessarily need to name their source, but why couldn't they publish the texts they mention? Or anything to corroborate what said source said, at all?

I'm not asking for the world here, just something substantial and verifiable. Not the highest bar to clear.

He is *already* energizing the party, at least according to the polls. He seems pretty effective about advocating about I/P to me so far.

Where did I say we should embrace Nazi affectations?

We *might* be able to meaningfully combat the genocide if we flip that Senate seat and pressure the Dems sufficiently.
October 25, 2025 at 1:40 AM
I agree. That doesn't mean someone with relevant life experience is *automatically* the one with the correct opinion. More likely, in most cases, I'll grant you. But therein lies the peril of standpoint epistemology -- you let your priors do all the work and stop caring as much about evidence.
October 25, 2025 at 12:15 AM
It would be nice if they actually provided any evidence that they speak of. Otherwise, this article is just reiterating the same stuff from previous reporting. Even using the same anonymous "acquaintance" as a source.

I'm open to changing my mind if that evidence materializes, but this ain't it.
October 25, 2025 at 12:12 AM
I agree. I'd just rather the one that is against spilling more blood wins.
October 24, 2025 at 11:21 PM
So you'd rather the lady with personally clean hands, but who supports genocide, win? That's the two actually existing options.

This is the first I'm hearing of NDAs on his staff.
October 24, 2025 at 7:49 PM
What about *gestures broadly* indicates that a fascist would go to such lengths to hide like this when we have open white nationalists in the white house?
October 24, 2025 at 7:27 PM
I'm not ignoring them, I reject their validity or relevance. I've addressed that already.
October 24, 2025 at 6:44 PM
You're still just saying "you disagree with me therefore you haven't thought about it". Being the only person that knows my thoughts, I can tell you, definitively, that you're wrong.
October 24, 2025 at 6:41 PM
Lol as if bullying someone into taking on a position is a good thing? You're delusional.

I have thought about it critically. I've just come to a different conclusion to you.
October 24, 2025 at 6:37 PM
You asked why I hadn't posted about him before. I answered.

I've been into politics for over a decade, I just don't have any meaningful platform on social media so I don't post about it on my timeline/personal pages. I reply to things when I perceive there to be misinfo spreading, on occasion.
October 24, 2025 at 6:36 PM
This might be news to you but being marginalized doesn't automatically mean you're correct, and being privileged like myself doesn't automatically mean I'm wrong. That's not how reasoning works.
October 24, 2025 at 6:25 PM
Or, and stay with me here, you could be wrong. Have you considered that?
October 24, 2025 at 6:21 PM
That's a celtic knot, not Norse runes.
October 24, 2025 at 6:16 PM
No, I'm fine with a guy wanting to end a genocide who got rid of said badge when he learned what it was.

Mills supports the genocide.
October 24, 2025 at 6:12 PM
I think he's got a quite solid chance of winning if he stays in, which seems to be the case. Him dropping out won't get him any goodwill because the people who now hate him think he's irredeemable, as the replies to my posts have demonstrated.
October 24, 2025 at 6:08 PM
Because it has a wolf in it? My wife has a wolf and raven tattoo, is she a Nazi too?
October 24, 2025 at 6:06 PM
So far all I've been shown is that reddit thread, which I've addressed, and the JI reporting, which is basically hearsay. I don't consider that strong enough evidence.
October 24, 2025 at 6:04 PM
I don't think *anyone* is *fundamentally* evil. If his society and development had been different, he would have been different. That doesn't mean I don't despise who he actually was. Do you understand the distinction I'm making here?
