Thought it was about time to revisit the Culture and to my great surprise found I had a signed copy of Matter. I don't remember getting it, although, somehow, I'm pretty sure I did. So now I'll be spending the rest of the day being thoroughly disgusted at myself for forgetting I met Iain M. Banks.

I've lived in this house for years. Today, the sun reflecting at a curious angle, revealed scrawls on a door to a place I rarely use. I have never seen them before. I do not know what they mean. 'NOT FOOD' is all I can decipher. Oh god, what happened in there?
