I’m really surprised no one has mentioned @injusticewatch.org yet. It’s great Chicago investigative journalism.

This is one thing too that if just EU/Canada/Mexico did it and didn’t allow any jets to land there that didn’t meet this regulation, it would likely force other worldwide markets (including the US) to transition a large part of their fleet

What are SSA’s? and is there a way for a group of people instead of businesses to fund/take care of them?

Bus shelters seem like they would be reasonable targets for this at $5-10k. Plus I just think having more bus shelters would be a big quality of life improvement in the rain and wind, and would help increase the visibility of the network, create some lightbulb, “oh I could take a bus here” moments

Maybe bus shelters is the wrong idea, but having a “shopping online” easy way to donate and watch projects slowly reach their goals and see them come to life in the built environment I think could be impactful, people love to buy things.

My first thought on possible downsides would be that it may create an incentive away from traditional funding and could pave the way for and privatization mindset of “why am i paying for taxes for the stuff i don’t use”, but on the other hand would give a sense of connection to public property

There amount of shares in existence for a company is basically entirely arbitrary, so price per share is arbitrary as well. The important thing to look at would be market cap, which is share price x total number of shares. Or P/E, price over earnings.

I've been looking into open source/self hosted versions of Notion so these are probably closer to that than what you're asking for but there's Affine and Logsec that do this
