He's making America great again. Simple as that. If you weren't bound by any morality or precedent, what would you do? Invade countries that have things you want. Silence voices that undermine what you're doing. Take everything you can and tell everyone the country is doing better than ever. Simple.

Keep it simple: where did Germany end up under Hitler? Utterly defeated in a war of its own making and utterly dependent on the goodwill and politics of those who won. And Hitler? Pathetically dead by his own hand in a bunker.

Why are you making *this* your message when a fascist has taken over your country, is taking it apart step by calculated step, and is being aided and abetted by billionaires and a supreme court that is not fit for purpose? It's like moaning that the grinch stole a chocolate off the christmas tree!

I mean there's plenty the leader of the opposition could have used to attack the Chancellor's handling of the Budget and yet she chooses... the one thing that Reeves had absolutely nothing to do with.

Mind-boggling

They just don't know how to respond to a bully. Obama, Clinton and Biden wouldn't have attempted to bully the press corps into silence; it's all Trump has, but the press corps are doing exactly what we're all told not to do if bullied... they weakly surrender. Even when humiliated by the bully.

As someone who has seen at first hand the transformation of Wrexham city centre thanks to the football club's effect on tourism, £18m is a snip for government to invest. Why aren't other places getting such amounts? Because their privately owned football clubs are not transforming the local economy.

Can someone teach the "bigly" impartial gent that you're either impartial or you're not? He evidently doesn't understand the meaning of the word.

How appalling - and ignorant: I, for one, neither need nor want my faith in the immigration system 'restored'. My faith in that system is relatively strong. My support for Labour under Starmer, however, is another matter...

Happy to share info about illumination at Blackfriars (topic of thesis) and about court/masques etc. A valuable review of forms of illumination in early modern venues - incl. Court and Hall playhouses - is still R. B. Graves' 'Lighting the Shakespearean Stage'.
