That is why we have decided to tell its story before it is too late. We want to remind our @empirepoduk.bsky.social listeners of the complex & violent history of the peoples who have passed through & lived in Gaza and whose genes have contributed to the diversity of the modern Palestinian people

This is a part of the world that dominates our front pages & yet about which we learn remarkably little at school: the history of Gaza rarely makes it onto the curriculum, we are not taught its story in movies or documentaries. Yet it is something we badly need to know to understand current events
