When people ask what the British Constitution is, you should point them to the Speaker of the House of Commons' role in defending Parliament's interests and also as 'man in pub' in the nation's third most popular TV serial.
Even though I am a proud Lancastrian, in May 2024, I was thrilled to join the cast of Emmerdale to as part of celebrations for their 10,000th episode. (1/2)

I'm sure no advice is needed, but the correct response is surely just 🤨
"Is the PM proud of our role at the Battle of Agincourt?"

An absolutely genuine question put to Keir Starmer's spokesman at the morning lobby briefing just now

While this mob clearly need to do a few marching drills, it's pretty astonishing to see their kind in the capital of the Free World.
Patriot Front is on the move around the March for Life.

i sent an email to DOGE and suggested replacing the entire Department of Defense with Warhammer 40,000 miniatures but they actually did the math and it turns out that would be much more expensive

I see the bots have arrived on Bluesky, with a glut of followers including Emma Watson apparently.

Probably a good sign that whoever pays for them is now investing here rather than on Ex Twitter

The best politics/government thread on Bluesky so far.

For such a high level of analysis to be offered publicly and for FREE is a miracle.

The fact that the responses aren't full of trolls or NSFW bot accounts is the cherry on top.
One thing I’m consistently astonished by in the endless attempts to reform British Government is the absence of any consideration of why the departmental structure is so embedded & why so called ‘silos’ exist.

There’s a long (boring) book in this for someone to write but for now a short 🧵1/
There’s a lot in this - how Labour are going to run missions and via Treasury/Spending Review - how they are going to pay for them.

Over the past working week, all Twitter has given me is precisely one scam/bot account following me at roughly the same time every day, and seemingly endless crypto/automation/data sale ads (increased exponentially recently)

On Bluesky? Content I'm interested in! What an interesting business model!

BlueSky great so far but clearly not at its tipping point yet. We will know it has reached sustainable levels when we are joined by official government accounts, the top 0.7% of OnlyFans accounts, and podcasters promoting their latest episodes.

New arrival here on BlueSky. It's nice here, innit?
