Though #PostgreSQL includes a full-featured text #Search capability, @ParadeDB’s pg_search vastly improves performance. Tembo’s ParadeDB stack provides an easy way to deploy and use this advanced search functionality in your apps today:

I've been spending a lot of time getting to know Azure for the last month or so.

My initial thought was I really do not like this, now it's growing on me??? There are some major issues but I'm starting to like how I can group resources together.

We posted a tutorial on our blog to build a modern e-commerce platform that leverages search capabilities using Tembo’s VectorDB Stack.

Create an app with semantic search capabilities, allowing users to find items using natural language queries:

Recently the Neon team asked the #PostgreSQL community "Why Does Everyone Run Ancient Postgres Versions?" Shaun Thomas took the time to write a response on Tembo's behalf: https://buff.ly/3ACdjBZ

Disagree? Find him in the hallway track at Postgres Conference Seattle this week and discuss!
Plugging the Postgres Upgrade Hole | Tembo
We at Tembo truly love Postgres. We're convinced everyone would love Postgres just as much as we do if only upgrading Postgres between major versions wouldn't be so darn difficult.

If you typically work with a Postgres GUI we'd love to invite you to try out our new SQL Editor, and run queries right from the Tembo Cloud UI: tembo.io/blog/announc...

Feedback very welcome!

So you want to roll your own application platform. All you need is:

Linux
Docker
Kubernetes
Istio
Prometheus
Fluentd
Grafana
Jaeger
Harbor
Open Policy Agent
Vault
GitHub Actions and Argo CD

Oh, almost forgot, you're also going to need servers, people, and glue. Bring lots of glue.

I am trying to wrap my head around Azure 🧵. Maybe someone out there can explain. I've never had a capacity issue in AWS or GCP, ever. Normally I am using standard instance types (non GPU). Basically a mix of general/cpu/memory instances.

I really want Bluesky to succeed, but I also want to see a healthy ecosystem spring up around the AT Protocol, and that includes Bluesky alternatives. If we want to avoid a repeat of what happened with Twitter then a healthy ecosystem is a requirement.
