Aging, doom on the mind, full of aches and fears... it's a dolorous book, about end things, for the poet, her family, her world. Impactful, full of "ecstasies of exactness, in the retirement sense," but painfully lucid about how far that will carry one.

And that's a lie. There are wastes of time in art. A lot of the fluff I read as a child I do not miss at all. What's more it distracted from reading better stuff I may never get to now.
