Seriously. I've been designing electronic and medical products for 16 years. 95% of those products are designed and built on metric measurements. Whenever I try to design something with USA-made parts, it's a huge pain because 95% of parts made here are not metric.

Partly on this advice, I joined a Mardi Gras parade band last year at age 38. First band I've ever been in, and despite being a beginner at my instrument (melodica), it's one of the most fun things I've done in my life. Thanks.
