This'll force me to grab my rain gear and get out of the flat. Love it. OK, I'll go with the flow and find one to bike to this weekend.

It is Saturday. I am in my pajamas reading Common Sense by Paine. Enjoying coffee. No complaints.

With you on that one. Though for me its the Gladiator soundtrack and lamenting that I should have worked in an awesome history museum archive.

Not sure what you're timezone is, but happy to do a zoom "we read" half hour or hour with you.

Yeah. That foyer in the original building is something else. I feel like its a great time to start visiting awesome libraries. I'm in Europe now and have not walked into any university ones since landing. Shame.

I'm lucky to have that time and it's part of what keeps me happy. I also just really like to read.

Have any favorites you've visited? Not a Uni one, but my time in Boston and hours spent in the @bpl.boston.gov marveling at the old and the new comes to mind.

Like many others, its hard. I set aside one hour a day to skim my RSS reader. I move articles I want to read to a folder. On Fridays I read one or two of the most pertinent to my current project. I might deep read/note take on one every few weeks.

Empathize with you. Inching closer myself, but its a very difficult time. I don't do ice sheet work, but NGO and climate resilience from a critical perspective, but I'll keep an eye out all the same.

I was just looking at those highlighters. Going back to the store to grab them. Sadly, I have been using a different type for years and their quality has nose dived.

Canvas, Padlet, Internet Archive, the amazing blog and their work @raulpachecovega.bsky.social , and bringing a librarian and a writing center rep to your class to talk about how they can help students

I have a strict no ai policy, and had honest discussions with those students I suspected or caught due to their negligence (chatgpt prompt copied by mistake). I like the idea of an enshittification paper review and may adjust my syllabus to include that.
