Oregon law prohibits building nuclear reactors unless 2 criteria are met: a statewide vote of the people AND a national waste repository.

Neither of these criteria have been met and this bill is one of 11 currently in Salem designed to undercut these democratic & safety protections.

In Winter of 2024 we were very grateful to have Julia Keefe and members of the Indigenous Big Band come to play at the Josephy Fest in Joseph, OR. Julia calls the Wallowa valley as part of her heritage homeland. She's an amazing Nimipuu jazz singer!

Glad you are speaking about this. More people really need to know its not "ancient history" as some people want it to be seen.

The year of 1877 sticks out very clearly to us,its the year of the flight of the Wallowa band of the Nez Perce happened & forced the exile of the Wallowa Band to include the young Chief Joseph, men, women and children from their homeland which is one of the reasons we exist as an org to repatriate.
