Only popping in to recommend the movie Strange Days (1995) written by james cameron and directed by Kathryn Bigelow. A lot of the concepts in this movie are like if avatar was darker (tsaheylu, the avatar driver program) and I think some of my moots here would appreciate the darker look

They…go around my tail, right?” He turns to show her, trying not to think about the fact that she’s looking at his bare ass. “Yes,” she says and when he looks over his shoulder at her, he’s surprised to find her looking almost sympathetic. “You cannot reach?” Jake shakes his head. She clicks her tongue, rolling her eyes in exasperation. “Come.” She gestures for him to move closer. “I will tie them.” Or: the way a small habit like tying loincloth strings can bind a couple, and a family, together.
