The whole “it’s not art” debate is just silly to me, because it yet again tries and fails to come up with a convincing definition of what art is.

The people who generated every possible melody and then tried to copyright them was spectacularly funny performance art.

And that is a huge issue. We want a society where more people can be artists full time, not less.

That is why it’s unethical to e.g use SD to generate an illustration for your new product launch instead of paying an artist.

I don’t vibe with the whole copyright argument, but that’s because I think copyright as a concept is wrong.
Can something an AI generates be art? Sure. Art is not defined by it‘s method of creation.
