We incentivize people to have and raise children because it is in society's best interest to have a next generation of people. There is no societal benefit to having a next generation of pets.

I'm with you on all of that. I never owned a vehicle when I lived in the city. I just don't expect the tenants of 49 units to all be willing/able to make the responsible decision. I don't think we will ever succeed in improving things if we ignore stupid or selfish people in our plans.

I don't believe we can rely on people doing things that make sense. I do believe that the vast majority of vehicle owners in cities with available mass transit are making an irresponsible choice, and yet there are many millions of them.

I never claimed to be in favor of a 1:1 parking ratio. I was using numbers for a worst case scenario and asserting that exacerbating parking congestion is a negative.

I'm for affordable housing, but I don't like that math. How many of those units will be rented by somebody with a need to park? How is that retail going to do if the 8 spots plus the nearest 41 on the street are all taken by tenant cars? Maybe two levels of parking, 35 units would be better overall.

Earlier this year we had to stop being an ABC News family because of how they let down Stephanopoulos and then 60 Minutes. We switched to CBS . . . guess we're an NBC family now. Running out of options.

I am a resident of her district. Almost all of my family voted for her. Since her nomination and farewell tour she has been completely absent from the district and her voters are irate. All this does is buy Trump time, because she's going to lose in '26 anyway.
