On the regular "Joseph thinks up something silly" Amtrak working with Septa, Marc, and whoever else owns this trackage to make a second nec for added capacity and helping doing overhauls on the ex pennsy wires. Although you probably would want to electrify this too.

First Train north after the Panther's win today, the next train seems to be sold out. Seems like if we start playing good it might be a good idea to run more Piedmonts?

Phase 3 is really nice, mainly for this

drew up a sorta basic idea of 3 different lines based around PART bus service, a red line from Clemmons to Greensboro, a green line from Winston-Salem to Lexington, and a blue line on the NCRR between Burlington and Lexington.
Service already exists on the Blue line in the form of the Piedmont and

Someone else suggested "The Silver Comet" for the Washington to Raleigh train, named after the old seaboard train
November 3, 2025 at 7:32 AM
Randomly decided to think up names for the Washington to Charlotte and Washington to Raleigh trains, Southern Metropolitan and Southern Capitals

Still find it funny that Cincinnati owned this and just sold it to Northfolk Southern.

guessing eventually a. ncrr gets electrified (is state owned) and b. this project goes through just off of the need for people to get around an area with massive growth and i just get to trainwatch something like this passing the new airo sets.

need more Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway coaches
September 13, 2025 at 2:08 AM
Really annoying this near perfect regional train project got sidelined. The Piedmont/Carolinian is nice but just imagine more regular and expensive service on the ncrr.

City of Raleigh and Town of New Bern in "Patchwork" the state's early excuse for a livery, crudly painting over the locomotives's original livery to make a standard livery for the state services
July 20, 2025 at 11:06 PM
the service worked but there was demand for a more direct Raleigh to Charlotte service at one point, someone said they had an idea, but nothing came from it for a while till something showed up in Raleigh yards, well 2 somethings

so, imagine if in the late 1960's every polotition
in the state of North Carolina gets hit with the
foamer ray and decides that there should be
regular passenger service, no matter the cost. (Picture very related)
