My father died 43 years ago today, but before he died he took my friend and me to story time at the Iowa City Public Library every single Saturday morning (and then to Baskin Robbins for rainbow sherbet afterwards). Hazel Westgate, longtime children's librarian, sent us this note when he died. 📚
