Things are going better, I went back on testosterone mostly to see if it would help my fatigue and brain fog- and oh goodness it helps SO much! I’m able to function so much better now. I’m working on art again after a small hiatus.

For August's theme challenge on Ko-fi's discord server, though I finished it late. I decided to explore the theme (identity and creative drive) through poetry and then illustrate it.

Three illustrations with a poetry stanza next to each one. Text reads "New Moon Rain- a name evoking the cycles and new beginnings of my identity, my episodes, phases of life ever changing. Yet through the chaos, New Moon Rain survives. This world I've created within an iPad and a sketchbook is my safe space." In the first illustration, Gareth draws in a sketchbook emitting sparkling beams of light. Next stanza: "I seek expression of the storms, the droughts. Experiences so intricately tangled that only pencil to paper, metaphors and symbols, color and composition, can make sense of." The second illustration features a tangle of thorns and a pen. Third stanza: "And in all my art, a world takes shape. A place that is only mine, a cozy cottage where atmosphere is unnecessary and the stars rush in. Only in my illustrations and poetry am I home." The final illustration features swirls of light and sparkles coming out of a central point.
