I'm all for shitting on modern pokemon ,but thats a really specific and bad example, that thing is intentionally supposed to have a weird forms that are discordant and all over the place. Even mocking things should be done without cherry picking.

I just watched it yesterday. Its a good movie, def some trigger warning stuff in there. I'm a bigger fan of Cloud and Cure by the same director, Cloud is phenomenal.

Nothing about it ever sat right with me. EA has been doing this shit for decades and it has never worked. I'm no expert, but it made MS feel like it had no brand image. "Look how much stuff we have!" sets of red flags as a sales pitch, and yea it sucks that now devs have to suffer.

I never played 3, but it also solved major problem I had with the first one where all the towns and environments felt barren and dead. Go back and try KH1, even at the time the jungle and the towns and the colosseum etc, they all feel like you are wandering through silent hill or something.

2 is definitely a better game, but its also where all the negative cliches about the narrative began. I also have a specific gripe with the final fight I won't spoil. Still probably the best game in the franchise.

If you ever get the chance Pale Blue Dot is still a great book. The likelihood of any significant portion of the population EVER making it off earth isn't great. It's far more likely that a new society forms in space than most of us leaving. So less Star Trek and more The Expanse.

Limitations are a good thing. It forces you to get creative and frequently results in something that you would otherwise not have thought of. This one of the reasons why Haiku is such an enduring form of poetry, and why Shakespeare intentionally set limitations on his work (I believe his sonnets?)

Nintendo will never make another game like it, which is a huge shame. Least of all as a Zelda game, god-forbid that franchise do anything actually interesting again. MM was the sort of miracle that could only have happened exactly when it did. IMO the entire franchise started downward after MM.
