Just read Shawshank Redemption for the first time in Different Seasons. I think overall the movie is better because Tim Robbins' performance humanizes Andy more: Book Andy is the same guy, but because he is this stoic guy you lose the emotion Robbins' brings to his face. Still worth reading.

Where the hell is Dragon Quest 12?
The new Coroner album has some of the best guitar solos I've heard in decades, maybe ever. Tommy was always a great guitarist, but this is on an entirely different level. He has CLEARLY not sat still for the 33 years since Grin was released. Nobody sounds like this in 2025, every phrase is a song.

Severance is the best TV show since Breaking Bad. No exceptions. If the mysteries it is teasing end up living up to their potential it will have THE best story in any show ever. I waited like 3 years for S2 and it is exceeding expectations.

I keep returning to Path of Exile when I try picking up other games. Haven't even gotten POE2 yet, POE1 is so, so good. It might be the most mechanically rich game I've ever played; there are moments of confusion, but you slowly learn things from wikis and you see its complex for a reason.

Season 2 of Squid Games was one of the best blocks of entertainment I've ever seen. Maybe the best follow up season to anything ever. Maybe the best first episode of a season ever. Absolutely perfect, peak TV, excellent excellent excellent. Completely lives up to the hype.

Kingsroad is a good idea but I'm sorry, just like with Star Wars I can't take stories seriously where you play a nobody who bumps shoulders with everyone in the source material. In ASOIAF thats even more egregious because...I mean most of the cast of the books never even meet eachother.
