...Voters really, really care about controlling immigration and crime. They just do. And if voters don’t think Democrats will take those issues seriously, they elect a garbage human like Trump who will seize the opportunity to expand his own power.

"Pay for access operation" is definitely a way to describe levels of corruption that make the Teapot Dome scandal look like Tuesday

ChatGPT told a guy to use ketamine, cut off all friends and family, and that the world "wasn't made for him, but he was waking up."

This is very bad.

One of my most socially conservative (I guess?) takes is that I generally despise gambling and think certain types of betting should be banned outright

Embarrassingly bad performance from Lake, Gallego may legitimately still have won even if Biden had stayed in the race

It would be dumb to cut off friends/family members for voting for like, John McCain

But when it's Trump? Yea, I don't blame people at all who are doing that

This article is totally insane; NPR should be ashamed. The headlines and lede give you no indication at all that RFK is a crank whose claims about vaccines are false and threaten public health. Would they write a story saying "Alex Jones wants to inform the public but he faces a lot of pushback"?

RFK Jr. wants to tackle chronic disease. Despite controversial views on vaccines, his focus on healthy food and taking on special interests may find broad support — and face political headwinds.

When Obama nominated Tom Daschle -- a congressional leader with three decades of experience working on federal health care policies -- to be HHS secretary, the senator had to withdraw because a donor provided him with a car.

If only he'd beheaded a whale!

Hillary was absolutely a worse candidate than Kamala

I think the main reason Trump won in 2016 was Hillary being a weak candidate

Kamala had some missteps, but I don't think she ever really had a chance of winning

If it's any solace (It isn't really) about 2024 is that the Democratic Party overall is honestly in much better shape than it was after 2016
