I think this is the first time I've ever played outdoor tennis in the month of December. Life on Vancouver Island can be pretty nice when the sun is shining.

Well, a pretty disappointing ending for the Canadians at both the BJK Cup and Davis Cup which pretty much epitomizes the 2024 tennis year. Aside from Denis winning the Serbia Open and a bronze medal for Felix and Gaby at the Paris Olympics, not much else of note. Here's hoping 2025 can be better!!

That was a heck of a BJK Cup tie between Italy and Poland earlier today. Italy advances as it came down to the doubles, but that match between Iga Swiatek and Jasmine Paolini was really entertaining.

Congrats to Great Britain on advancing to the semi-finals of the BJK Cup taking out the defending champs from Canada. Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter leading the charge for the Brits today. Best of luck against Slovakia in the semi-finals.

Priority number 1 for Leylah in the off-season is to fix that ball toss. The whole service motion is tough to look at in fairness, but it all starts with the toss.
