(5/5) Weiss, as Special Counsel, then indicted Hunter with 3 felony gun charges in Delaware and 9 tax charges in California.

But, remember, Weiss originally agreed to a NON-PROSECUTION agreement for Hunter BEFORE the political pressure campaign.

So what changed? The answer: Trump.

(4/5) At this time, Trump & his cronies went after Weiss full bore. He was publicly attacked and criticized.

So instead of clarifying a deal that he had negotiated, Weiss reneged on the agreement & offered new terms, as well as getting AG Merrick Garland to grant him Special Counsel status.

(3/5) The deal included a mutually agreed upon immunity provision for Hunter. The federal judge questioned the scope of the immunity provision in the agreement, but she never killed the deal. She asked the parties for clarification of the immunity.

(2/5) But Weiss then backpedaled & ended up insisting that Hunter plead guilty to 2 tax misdemeanors (for failure to file) & that he enter into pre-trial diversion for the gun charge. Hunter agreed to these new terms and the two sides submitted his written Diversion Agreement to the Court.

🧵 WHY WERE HUNTER BIDEN'S CASES UNPRECEDENTED?

(1/5) Hunter Biden was investigated for FIVE years by the DOJ.

After FIVE years of investigations, the Trump-appointed US Attorney, David Weiss, in Delaware agreed with Hunter's lawyers to a non-prosecution agreement.
Hunter Biden’s TWO criminal cases were political prosecutions in order to attack President Joe Biden.

The DOJ pursued unprecedented charges after a high-pressure campaign by Trump and his surrogates.
BREAKING: President Biden is expected to issue a pardon for his son Hunter Biden, according to a senior White House official.

absolutely this.
Crockett: For anyone who wants to clutch their pearls because he was going to pardon his son, I would say take a look in the mirror because we also know that when it comes to this cabinet, this cabinet has more people accused of sexual assault than any incoming cabinet

We don’t need Congress to release the ethics report on Matt Gaetz to know he’s guilty of statutory rape. The fact they’re trying to cover it up is proof enough.
