SO got caught up on the race stuff, Mechima and Quatlin are done just need the final two! There's currently a poll going on the NAK Discord page to determine if the last race is going to be a species of Rat folk, a general assembly of Beast Folk, or (my personal fave) Bird Twinks with Wings lol

Hey NAK trivia, the idea to make the setting a Cyber Fantasy mesh came about because of the line "Digital demons make the night feel heavenly" from the Sleep Token song Ascensionism. Before that NAK was going to be a fantasy/horror setting, but that line made me think how can we add digital demons?

So other than the cyber fantasy setting one of the coolest things about NAK (in my opinion) is the character creation. Not to toot my own horn but I feel like I did a pretty good job letting you create the character in your head, while being mechanically viable without falling into Class archetypes

Alright Mechima Summery and mechanical benefits are pretty much done, I have a TON of material for the Quatlin Lizardfolk so that should be pretty quick to rock out. The Sadhi Summery should be pretty simple (the deep dive for the not-elves will be way harder), and then the Sorichini to wrap it up!

So when making this I was really focused on making sure my Big Bad Evil Corp wasn't just discount Arasaka from Cyperpunk 2077, but I just realized that in my efforts I accidently made them white dude Shinra from FF7 but now it's too ingrained in the core game to change!!!!!

This is the synopsis for the Calsery, the Shark Folk that live in the Oceans of Threa. They are one of my favorites cus A) SHARKS ARE FUCKING DOPE, B) I based their culture on the Sith from Star Wars and SITH ARE FUCKING DOPE! So all in all I find these dude to be pretty dope lol

So gonna try this whole "Having a Gameplan" thing out in 2026. Broke the year into quarters with each one having a different goal. First, finish world building! Next, polish up the math and mechanics! Third, the Heist intro Adventure! And last Panic editing and hopefully a short story!

Looking for some advice, I have -5 artistic ability, a 0$ budget for NAK art, and whereas I don't think AI is the devil in every instance, in the "art" department it's deplorable and shan't be used. Are there any options one could explore that aren't begging folks to work for exposure or lame shit?

So update on the actual game, working on version 3 of the core book and fleashing out more the the world building and setting stuff. Each version gets progressively less overcomplicated and notably less absolute BUNS! V3 is mostly some rules adjustments and incorporating more World and Soul into it

First session play test of NAK went... okaaaaay. There are a LOT of tweaks and things that need cleaned up mechanically but the bones of the system seem good. Oh well back to fixing the book!

NAK has multiple different races you can play as! The Calsery are a race of humanoid shark people. They're society is influenced by the Sith from Star Wars, only the strong survive. Strength isn't just physical, its cunning, intelligence, and the ability to keep those around you in line as well. 🦈🦈🦈

NAK uses a Roll/Keep dice system. It works by adding your skill rank to its associated Trait and rolling that many d10s and then keeping an amount of dice equal to the associated Trait. To me its the best way to express the payoff for your investment which is a high priority throughout NAK
